Brian Halstead, CAC
Executive Director
Founder, Brian Halstead, began his formal career in addiction treatment as a Counselor at the Reading Detox in 1986. He spent five years as an outpatient Counselor at the Berks Youth Counseling Center working with adolescents and adults and managed a transitional halfway house for homeless alcoholics. In 1991, Brian joined The Caron Foundation in Wernersville, Pennsylvania, as an Addiction Counselor where he honed his unique combination of cognitive and experiential techniques. During his career at Caron, Brian was trained in all facets of inpatient treatment and eventually became Executive Director of Adult Services. Brian was instrumental in shaping many of the programs in use today by this internationally recognized treatment center.
Throughout his career, Brian has demonstrated success treating difficult patient populations such as adolescents, chronic relapse, addicted individuals with abuse issues, and addicts/alcoholics that have been classified as "treatment resistant" by previous treatment providers.
Brian is a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) and member of Association of Intervention Specialist and facilitates interventions nationwide.
Brian's professional experience is enlightened by his own 26-years in recovery. He lives with his wife, Sandy, in Pennsylvania, and enjoys riding motorcycles and restoring old cars.
